Exciting News! 

Looking for a way to unwind after a long day of skiing? Or maybe you’re looking to get your day off to an energizing start with a morning workout. We’re excited to announce that Bretton Woods Vacations has teamed up with the Mountain View Grand Hotel to provide our guests with access to their swimming and fitness facilities for a fee of $25 per person, per day.   • May 11: Mystery in the Mountains – Claw & Order – Welcome to the 15th Annual Mystery in the Mountains! This family friendly event, draws people from far and wide to solve the mystery, enjoy the mountains and spend time with one another. Mystery in the Mountains regularly attracts a large audience, including “teams” that have formed over the years and come back every year, multi-generational families who use it to host a get together, and friends who meet up in Lincoln-Woodstock each year to reconnect.   • May 25: Alton Weagle Day presented by the Mount Washington Auto Road – Alton Weagle had a passion for Mt. Washington. To show his passion, he climbed the Mt. Washington Auto Road in a number of unique ways: by car, on foot, walking backward, blindfolded, and finally pushing a wheelbarrow full of sugar … just to name a few. This day honors his spirit and the spirit of all the unique ascents: camels, Segways, and even the odd pogo sticks that have been the first up the mountain.   • May 25: Casting for Kirby  14th Annual Youth Fishing Kirby – Join the Recreation Department on the shores of Corcoran Pond for their 14th Annual Youth Fishing Derby. Any kid under the age of 15 can participate in the challenge. There will be over $1000 worth of prizes, plus face painting, DIY t-shirts, and more ! Age groups will have staggered start times, with 7 & under beginning at 8:30, and ages 8-15 beginning at 8:45. This tradition continued through the Baroque and Classical periods, but really reached its pinnacle with the sophisticated multi-movement works of the Romantic era performed for larger audiences.  In Brahms’ Serenade in D, he channels Mozart, Haydn and Schubert, but never sets aside his own Romantic sensibilities.
