White Mountains Photography by Matt Vaudo

Bretton Woods Vacations is proud to announce our partnership with Matt Vaudo Photography! Some of our favorite pictures are on display at our CR11 slopeside condo in Bretton Woods – but anyone can have one of these beautiful photographs sent directly to their home by purchasing here!

Matt is a landscape and adventure photographer local to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. “My landscape work in the White Mountains is a culmination of many amazing and once in a lifetime moments that I’ve shared with these mountains,” he tells us. “From the famously beautiful fall foliage to the snow capped peaks of the Presidential Range, I’m excited to offer these images as fine art prints. Living right here in the White Mountains, I have developed a strong identity behind my camera. I’ve built a deep connection with photographing the outdoors and crafting a meaningful frame. I have also found a passion for photographing big mountain landscapes, sunrises and sunsets, the night sky, and beautiful forests. I hope you enjoy my images and I cannot thank you enough for supporting my work.”

We hope you will enjoy his work – whether online or during your stay at CR11, but most importantly, that you will choose to support our local artist community by purchasing one of his amazing photographs!

Product Details

Learn about New Hampshire's sweetest season with this hands-on program for all ages which leads participants through the fascinating history of the sugaring tradition, from techniques to gather and boil sap used by Native Americans to those employed by the earliest European settlers and right up to the most modern methods for turning sap into syrup.

Held by the Forest Society at Bethlehem's famous The Rocks, this program will allow visitors to learn how to identify and tap a sugar maple tree, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the historic estate, and talk with a fourth-generation sugar maker as he plies his trade in the sweet-scented steam of a working sugar house. Next door to the sugarhouse, the interactive New Hampshire Maple Museum displays maple sugaring tools, from historic to modern.

Of course, no Maple Experience would be complete without sampling the finished product, paired with fresh cider donuts and a sour pickle – to offset the sweetness of the syrup – for a unique tasting experience. Even better, participants will receive a bottle of Bretton Woods Vacations' own homemade maple syrup, made right here at the Moose Lodge and Cabins on wood fire for an irresistibly smoky flavor.

Tour are available every hour from 10 am to 2 pm (ie 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm) at The Rocks on the following dates:

  • Saturday, March 16
  • Saturday, March 23 & Sunday, March 24
