Our family, including our grand dog, thoroughly enjoyed our mini-vacation in the yurt-style home. The hot tub was fairly private and was the perfect way to wind down after a lot of hiking. The beds were comfortable and everything worked perfectly. The host communications were timely and thorough. Highly recommend.

Perfect getaway spot

We decided to get away last minute for the long Easter weekend and found this gem in the woods. The "yurt" inspired log home was perfect size for us with all the amenities we could ask for. Even during spring, we thoroughly enjoyed the walking trails, access to the river, the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. We cozied up to the wood burning stove inside! We only left the property once to explore Bretton Woods, otherwise, we didn't want to leave when our time came. I usually worry about bed and bathroom quality when renting homes but we all rested nicely and the bathrooms were great. Bretton Woods vacations was incredibly easy to work with and checked in daily to see if we needed anything and we did not! I can see how this place would be lovely in all four seasons. My only recommendation is to bring camp chairs. We happened to have them in our car and it was great to bring down to the river to have a picnic and stay a little longer. This nook in the woods has four properties and the kids have already asked to rent the next size up house. Highly recommend!

Loved the cabin! It was clean, well stocked and comfortable. I loved the wood stove! It warmed the house and it alone was sufficient to warm the entire house. It was just my husband and I so there was plenty of space but it is definitely made to fit a medium to large family as well. We didn't venture far except to the grocery store. If you plan to visit the grocery store and will be passing some on the way to the cabin I would stop before getting there as the closest actual grocery store is about 25 mins (coop grocery store, Shaws or Walmart). It's very quite so if you are looking to disconnect this is the place for you.

Totally enjoyed our stay at Moose Lodge and Cabins. We stayed in 1800OR. This is in Moose Lodge and Cabins area. When we arrived Alex was turning on the hot tub so it would be ready if we chose to use it. Both he and Aaron were extremely generous in their time and hospitality in making sure all of our needs were met and, as this was our first trip into this area, advising us on places to visit and dining options. The unit is beautiful and fully equipped. Only issue was getting heavy suitcases up the spiral staircase but we made it happen. Highly recommend the area, these people and this property.

This is a beautiful yurt cabin recently build with a lot of craftsmanship and attention to detail. It was clean and the management company is good at communicating. I appreciate that we were able to bring our dog. The only thing we wish it had is a washer/dryer. Thanks for a great stay!

My whole family loved staying in the log cabin "yurt." The house is beautifully appointed (especially the kitchen) with anything we needed. The location is great for all the summer activities in the area, including our favorite, exploring around Franconia Notch. The acreage that the cabins are on is just beautiful and that was a huge boon for me; we brought along our puppy, and the walks in the woods and meadows and along the river were like puppy heaven, just steps from the door. Our stay was quiet and very comfortable (this was the first time I chose a place in the White Mountains with A/C, and man, I am hooked).The only thing I wished the house had was a washer and dryer, but I'm not sure where they could even go, and we knew to pack accordingly.

The 2ish miles of groomed walking trails were fantastic. So close to the river, beach access. Fishing. My golden retriever had the best vacation. We did too. The Yurt home was spotless and very comfortable. The hot tub was a plus! Great hiking and restaurants near by.

We wanted someplace special for my family and Into celebrate a milestone birthday. The Owl Roost was the perfect place! What a unique and fun property! Very clean and comfortable. We loved the hot tub, and that wood stove was so nice and toasty. We made some amazing memories at the roost that we treasure forever. We will definitely be back to this one!

This is truly a beautiful home our family loves coming here and taking full advantage of all the property has to offer. The house is very clean and comes well equipped. The skating rink and hot tub additions were really the cherry on top. Despite other houses close by you feel very secluded. Highly recommend!
Just what we needed!

OK this is gonna sound cliché, but the pictures really do not do it justice!! When we were looking for a place to get away for a quick weekend we were looking at a lot of different properties. This particular property stuck out as a Yurt house. It was very interesting looking. The pictures were beautiful all the exposed wood open Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room area just beautiful. But… how we felt walking in to the perfect foyer for all you outside “stuff” Jackets, shoes, coolers, each person got a hook and cubby hole no way to loose anything! When you walk inside the main door to the house the first thing you see is this amazingly grand spiral staircase made entirely out of a single large tree with exposed roots. It really is breathtaking just to stand there and look up to the second floor and the master craftsmanship of that staircase was just beautiful detail work! A tremendous focal point of the whole house. We Loved the owl theme of the house and art work and owls throughout was fun for the kids to look for. I Loved all the kitchen equipment that was available for us to use. There was an air fryer, Keurig, main coffee pot, Insta pot, pots and pans. Everything that you need is there I even forgot, saran wrap and tinfoil, but there was a packet of parchment paper in the drawer that came in handy in in a pinch to wrap our picnic lunches. We had a campfire and of course the Kids made s'mores, as well as some great memories!! We walked the very nicely maintained pathways around the property and the kids were very excited to find fresh fruit to pick off the bushes (Blueberries and Raspberries) 😋 the flowers and plants around the property was outstanding the hummingbirds were in heaven! the River was fun for the kids to swim in and we all enjoyed the hot tub! The location of the yurt home was great we ventured out to Santa’s Village and at the end of an exciting day we were so glad to just go back and make dinner and relax for the evening. The only thing that we hated was having to leave. Thanks for the peaceful retreat from the “Rat Race”!! We definitely will be back soon.
