The White Mountains are host to many events all year round. There are far too many for us to list them all, so we will try to highlight some of the largest ones on this page – but for a more detailed list, these websites are a great resource:

- July 31: Broadway Bound 2: Big Roles, Bigger Dreams presented by the Weathervane Theatre – Weathervane Theatre, Whitefield, NH – The next chapter of Broadway Bound is here! These performers are all grown up and can’t play the kid roles they once loved, but now they dream of the big roles they hope to play one day. - July 31: Balla Kouyate presented by The Colonial Theatre – Bethlehem, NH – As soon as Balla Kouyaté was old enough to sit up, his father placed a mallett in his hand. If their 800-year-old lineage of balafon players were a baobab tree, Balla would be its newest branch. The Kouyaté family are griots from the village of Niagassola on the Mali-Guinea border. In West African culture, griots are more than just eminent musicians — they are storytellers, soothsayers and peacemakers. They transmit their oral history like a long game of telephone across generations. | 8:00 PM
